I have long discussed the Spring Cycle version of the GSBT. Well I completed part 1 this week and will go with part 2 from Revesby to Circular Quay before the Spring Cycle.
I will start at Parramatta Park where the Spring Cycle 50km finishes on Sunday 11th October. After Pork Buns at Canley Vale I headed down the Georges River and onto to Revesby for 58km. That was my day 1. Very enjoyable.
From there it is 56km from Revesby to Circular Quay after going across the famous Woronora Bridge and around Centennial Park which will finish day 2. Day 3 will be The 50km Spring Cycle to finish the loop. This skips the mandatory Lane Cove National Park marker but as much of the moneys to ride car free from North Sydney to Parramatta goes to charity. All good.
On Sunday 11 October, you will ride the Spring Cycle 50km to complete the loop from North Sydney to Parramatta Park . This ride goes over Circular Quay on the Cahill Expressway completing the loop.
Note: There is a tunnel off Parramatta Park that gets you on the way to Holroyd Gardens and then onto the Rail Trail at Merrylands.
2 Days Version of the Journey
Day 1: Start at Canley Vale and ride to Circular Quay. Distance 76 km
Day 2: Start at North Sydney on the Spring Cycle. Grab vittles at Parramatta Park and ride to Canley Vale via the Prospect Reservoir Cycleway. Distance 87km
Enjoy the ride
